Marisa And The Moths
‘Cute band name’, you say? Trust us: there’s nothing moth-like about these guys.
Featuring soaring vocals and scintillating songwriting, as well as satisfying (yet sparingly deployed) lead flashiness from virtuosic six-stringer Sophie Lloyd, occasionally grunge, it’s also the sort of sharp,
chunky modern hard rock that makes you think of Halestorm or Foo Fighters, alongside touches of other rock heavyweights.
Marisa And The Moths are a new band on the scene, and yet they’ve already rapidly gathered a following which continues to grow at pace. They’ve been on Kerrang! Radio ‘Fresh Blood’ as Artist of the week, as well as a feature in Kerrang! magazine 4th Jan 2020. They’ve also had a feature in Classic Rock Magazine 269 and are on that cover CD.
The first four singles and music videos have been met with an enthusiastic response, and the band have already completed their first two UK tours. They are currently selling out 100 – 300 capacity venues all over the UK.
As well as their own impressive social media presence, Sophie Lloyd, the bands lead guitarist has an impressive 236,000 subscribers on Youtube,
50,000 followers on Facebook, and 140,000 followers on Instagram.
The band have a relentless release and touring schedule planned for 2020.
