Graces Collide set to launch debut album “Our Tomorrow”

Written by on 5th March 2020

GRACES COLLIDE are a powerful melodic riff laden rock monster hailing from the heart of Brighton, UK.

GRACES COLLIDE are made up of the cool and calm Danny Wenham on Vocals and lead guitar and the strong and energetic twins Jurgan & Will Hamblin playing bass and rhythm guitars.

“Out of strength, comes sweetness…” is the saying. The same can be said of the combination of power & melody in rock. If you are a fan of hard rock, you will know that the modern sound comes in two varieties: an overwhelmingly concentration of pure fury, with a touch of desolation or, alternatively, a dose of luminous forcefulness with a touch of catharsis. Both types of post-grunge rock have pulverizing power, incomparable tension and unrestricted energy, and they have their own adherents. But the latter kind has melodious elements and it conceals its heaviness — the most bruising experiences — inside uplifting anthems… this is the kingdom-of-rock that GRACES COLLIDE inhabit.

GRACES COLLIDE bestow first-rate riffs, lyrical intensity, plenty of hooky melodies, and soaring vocals (no screaming or grunting here) — and they offer the same kind of dedication to epic songwriting as bands like Shinedown and Alter Bridge. You’ll recognize that the most poignant moments of their songs will shine brightest in the semi-darkness of the song settings.

Now, GRACES COLLIDE have ignited the touch-paper and are about to rocket through the clouds with a new studio album titled: “Our Tomorrow” (out 10th April 2020). It will be a 10-track epic that features a bunch of new songs along with some pet-sounds, including the first single to be taken from the forthcoming album will be “Ride” and it arrives at a thunderous pace and comes filled with unharnessed energy and a tuneful chorus, with satisfying guitar licks. They say: “Ride is about being ground-down in a relationship that is not going anywhere… We believe most rock fans have been in this same place. It’s shocking and yes we get angry… when you’re in a relationship like that, one you can’t escape from, of course you get angry. Here, on this number, we break down the walls of captivity and cut away the manacles.”

And that’s what GRACES COLLIDE do best… it’s what they will continue to do well: they excel at hacking away those manacles. They aim to get rid of the restrictions that modern-day hard-rock has placed around its own neck — to offer their fans something new, something penetrating and something unpretentious.
“We like to think our sounds will attract a wide variety of rock lovers. And that is because we offer uninhibited emancipation.”

And it’s true: on “Our Tomorrow” you will find stadium-sized rockers, corking guitar-solos, and subtle yet effective rhythms that propel coherent vocals. The title track is about looking at the current state of the planet and asking oneself where we go from here. The riffs are blunt and vigorous, without being brutal. It’s significantly rock-hardy and properly nervous & edgy — and yet, although its zealous — it’s offered without any of the characteristic anger, violence or metapocalyptic darkness that’s normally found across the genre.

“There are many songs on this album that are personally specific,” says Dan . “If you like your killer hard-rock to have more hidden up its sleeve than just plain-old naked aggression, this will be for you…”

They’ve even enlisted “The Rocket Dolls” frontman Nikki Smash to lend a soaring vocal on live favourite “Another Sun”. The bands second single from “Our Tomorrow” out March 13th.

Smash says “When the lads asked me to spit some vocals on it, i couldn’t say no. After touring the UK a few times with the Graces Collide, this was my favourite to hear live. It was meant to be!”

“To be able to have immortalised a song featuring Nikki Smash who I respect so much as a musician and a great friend is the kind of blessing only music gives you!” adds bassist Jurgan.

Our Tomorrow” the debut album from GRACES COLLIDE is due 10 April 2020 you can pre save and pre-order via GRACES COLLIDEs webstore, iTunes & Spotify NOW!

Our Tomorrow” was by fast up and coming producer George Donoghue (River Becomes Ocean/The Rocket Dolls) and mixed & mastered by heavy weight Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon/Phil Cambell & The Bastard Sons/Bullet For My Valentine)

“Having Romesh mix our record was like turning night into day, it takes a very talented man to make a band love their own songs even more!” says riff wizard Will.
