IDLE CROOKS & ENGLISHMEN

RISING DIRTY ROCK FOURSOME DROP SINGLE & ANNOUNCE TOUR

Brighton based alt-rockers IDLE CROOKS & ENGLISHMEN are making new friends and pricking ears with their alluring and hypnotic sound that has already earned the fuzzed-up rock crew favourable descriptors that liken the band to everyone from Royal Blood and The Smashing Pumpkins through to Queens of the Stone Age. IDLE CROOKS & ENGLISHMEN have a new video for their single, Criminal Song which is out now through all platforms.

IDLE CROOKS & ENGLISHMEN have been playing together from such an early age that it’s difficult to pinpoint their exact formation date. They are a self-declared four-piece of brothers, not bonded by blood, but brothers all the same, who love creating together. One thing is for sure-they have it all: riffs, melody, passion, stellar song-writing craft and a true poet in the band’s singer and guitarist, Tom Hurn. But all the kudos can’t rest with Hurn alone-each member plays a vital part in the creation of the crew’s engrossing sound. Drummer Adam Hall is the backbone of the band with his explosive fills, while bassist Josh Sayers provides enough groove and low-end to fill an entire set, and guitarist Joe Ottaway compliments and completes proceedings with his layered riffs. All together IDLE CROOKS & ENGLISHMEN deliver a furious and passionate form of dirty rock.

IDLE CROOKS & ENGLISHMEN have been wooing audiences throughout the country since they first formed and took their sound on the road. Along the way, they have shared stages with the likes of As December Falls and Rory Indiana, and the band’s first single, Red Paint On Human Faces, and debut EP, I Feel Like You Should Be More Dangerous, furthered their cause, picking up multiple radio plays and re-plays including on BBC Introducing.

The future is just as exciting for the formidable crew as they have just dropped their new single, Criminal Song, and are supporting the release with a UK tour (see below for dates). Further releases and tours are also planned for 2020.
