The legendary and iconic STRAY CATS return to celebrate their 40th anniversary with a brand new album, aptly titled 40, and a world tour, including multiple UK dates

Widely regarded as the band that put Rockabilly back in the charts in the 80’s having several big hits on both sides of the Atlantic, original founding members Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom are set to release their first album in 26 years via Surfdog Records/Mascot Label Group on 31st May 2019

40 was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, and was produced by the famed Peter Collins who has worked on a wide variety of bands throughout his illustrious career, including the likes of Bon Jovi, Rush and Alice Cooper to Suicidal Tendencies and Queensryche, and was engineered by Grammy Award winning Vance Powell (Clutch, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys)

Drummer Slim Jim Phantom said this of the record: “We’re very, very focused when we get into the studio, it didn’t feel like a long time had passed since we had done this, it felt very natural and familiar.  We were all in a row with everyone watching each other, so it felt like a gig in the set-up.  We really embraced that a little bit for the album, it’s like an old way of making records.  The modern is meeting the vintage, which has always been our inspiration.”
