SLIPKNOT – #1 In the Official UK Album Midweek Charts

 

SLIPKNOT, the Grammy award winning, festival headlining and arena filling, 20 million+selling machine, released new album WE ARE NOT YOUR KIND on Friday 9th August 2019via long-time home, Roadrunner Records and the album is currently sitting at #1 in the Official Album Midweek Charts, knocking Ed Sheeran off the top spot

Slipknot exploded back into life in May with lead track from We Are Not Your KindUnsainted – which saw an unprecedented response the world over: the video trended #1 overall on YouTube across ALL categories (not just music) for 48 hours after release, and has currently racked up over 40 million views since, and over 27 million streams on Spotify

We Are Not Your Kind is the band’s first album in five years after 2014’s blistering ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’, which topped the US charts, and hit the #2 spot in the UK upon release, which has since hit Gold certification (over 100,000 units sold), and saw 17 other Top 5 chart entries around the world (Japan #1, Australia #1, Russia #1, Germany #2)

Slipknot have enjoyed gargantuan radio and TV support throughout their career in the UK –multiple BBC Radio 1 playlists, Maida Vale sessions, BBC 6 Music, BBC Two Artsnight,BBC Radio 1 iPlayer documentary, Kerrang Radio, Kerrang TV, MTV, and vocalist/frontman Corey Taylor even appeared on BBC One’s flagship comedy panel show QI
